ExtraliTalks: Creating a Digital Twin of the Universe
Join the next session of ExtraliTalks – an open seminar series hosted by Extrality Lab at the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences (DSV), Campus Kista. These student-led seminars bring together insights and expertise from academia and industry, creating a platform for knowledge exchange.
On 11 December, astrophysics and cosmology expert Jens Jasche will introduce the concept of a Digital Twin of the Universe. This framework combines observational data with advanced simulations to model the universe’s evolution and deepen our understanding of its structure and origins. Jens will discuss its applications, including reconstructing the early conditions of the universe, exploring the nature of dark matter, and tracing the origins of the Milky Way and Andromeda galaxies
After the seminar, on-site participants are welcome to continue the conversation at Foo Bar, DSV’s student pub.
