Kista Startup Meetup
The Kista Startup Meetup was born out of the energy and connections made during Startup Day 2024. Seeing the potential to keep this momentum going, DSV student Johannes Brix started this initiative to bring talents, students, and entrepreneurs together for ongoing collaboration and growth.
On 2 December, this smaller, more focused meetup offers participants a chance to build connections, share ideas, and gain practical insights from people navigating the challenges of starting and growing a business. Whether you’re looking to expand your network, learn from experienced entrepreneurs, or simply explore the world of startups, this gathering is designed to inspire and empower.

15:30–15:35: Welcome & introduction
A proposal for making the most out of these meetups, inviting participants to brainstorm ideas together.
15:35–15:50: Skill presentation: Community building
Johannes Brix, the event organizer, will draw from his experience building communities worldwide to explain why fostering community is key to startup success.
15:50–16:10: Startup Spotlight: Hymate
Samuel Muhr, founder and CEO of Hymate, will share insights into how AI and digital twin technology are transforming energy systems.
16:10–16:30: Q&A session
An interactive discussion where attendees can ask questions and share ideas.
16:30–16:45: Project Story: Connecting the dots
Johannes will close the session with a unique perspective on what PageRank and Clash of Clans can teach us about building successful communities.

Meet the organizer
Johannes Brix is a student at Stockholm University’s Department of Computer and Systems Sciences (DSV). With experience creating communities in Germany, Spain, Singapore, and Sweden, he has a strong passion for bringing people together to share ideas and support one another’s growth. Inspired by his experience at Startup Day, Johannes launched the Kista Startup Community Meetup to continue building a vibrant network for students, talents, and entrepreneurs in Kista.
